TOHATSU RECEIVES THE "EDITORS' CHOICE AWARD 2001" FOR NEW TLDI® TECHNOLOGY ON 50 HP OUTBOARD AT THE MIAMI BOAT SHOW

During the recent Miami International Boat Show, Tohatsu Outboards received the coveted “Editors’ Choice Award” from Motorboating Magazine for the new Two-stroke, Low-pressure Direct Injection technology (TLDI®), introduced this past fall in a 50 hp outboard.

Products that demonstrated  “leading-edgetechnology in the marine industry” were considered for this award. Winners were chosen based on “innovation, ingenuity and

imagination.”

The 50 TLDI® is the first two-stroke 50 hp outboard engine on the market with an air-assisted direct fuel injection system. This makes it the first mid-size motor of its type.

The 50 TLDI® offers extremely smooth operation, superior fuel and oil efficiency, outstanding performance, and environmentally friendly compliance with EPA 2006 and CARB regulations through 2007.
