 Tohatsu has a new color!
We are proud to introduce a new color and new graphics for
2006. All Tohatsu outboards are now available in Aquamarine
blue with the Tohatsu logo and a royal blue design element
prominently displayed on each side. Each outboard goes
through a 6-step paint process in our new Komagane, Japan
factory which now includes a clear coat of acrylic resin to
provide additional protection.
All new for 2006,
Tohatsu will be offering a 115 direct-injected TLDI®
model. Along with its uniquely designed cowling that
provides quiet operation, the 115 TLDI® has all of the
benefits of our other TLDI® models such as excellent fuel
economy, light weight, and superior power. This model will
be Tohatsu’s flagship TLDI® model for 2006 and will be
available by Summer 2006.
The new 2 and 3.5 hp
four-strokes will replace the 2.5 and 3.5 two-stroke models.
These small, peppy four-strokes have twist grip throttle for
easy, one-handed operation and 360° steering for easy
turning and maneuverability. The patented powerhead design
has been tilted 15° to the right in order to create a
compact upper cowling. These models will be available Spring
2006.
The 25 and 30 hp four-strokes
have incorporated EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection) technology
into all model offerings for 2006. Tohatsu offers the
industry’s first battery-less electronically controlled fuel
injection system. The EFI system provides quick throttle
response, smooth rides on the water, and exceptional fuel
economy.
The 8 and 9.8 four-stroke have
also been improved for 2006. These models now feature a
front mounted gear shift for easier access to the shift
lever.
