Tohatsu Corporation Announces the New MFS150 Outboard

Japanese outboard motor manufacturer Tohatsu Corporation proudly announces the MFS150A, the newest addition to its lineup. The MFS150A is the lightest-weight 150 hp outboard in the industry, built on the proven legacy of the MFS75-140A series.
"We are extremely excited to introduce our new lineup of four-stroke outboards," says Isami Hyuga, President of Tohatsu Corporation. "The 150-horsepower segment represents an important milestone and a new frontier for our brand, as we introduce a Tohatsu-engineered four-stroke model in this class."
The all new 150hp 4-Stroke model is the lightest in its class without compromising performance. This is achieved through the proven industry-first designed exhaust manifold and several newly developed components. Tohatsu's unique 4-2-1 Performance Tuned Exhaust has its exhaust passages equal in length. This completely eliminates the possibility of exhaust interference and drastically improves the torque, resulting in quicker hole-shot and top end speed.
The MFS150A will be displayed as a world premiere at Dusseldorf Boat Show and The Toronto International Boat Show on January 17, 2026.
This newest addition to the model lineup will be available in Tohatsu Aqua Marine Blue and Beluga White, with a wide variety of shaft lengths, tiller or remote options, and a counter-rotation model offered exclusively for UL transom.
